Sinite Kamani Nature Park is located in the Eastern Balkan Mountains. It is one of the most romantic and beautiful places in the entire Eastern Balkan. Famous with its fresh air, its specific forest climate, its diverse flora and fauna. The park is full of streams, waterfalls, caves, bizarre rocks, and spacious meadows with beautiful flowers and wildlife. Its name comes from the large array of gray-blue to violet-colored rocks, which are the largest deposit of this type on the Balkan Peninsula. There are dozens of protected plant and animal species in the park. Among the most interesting are Urumouli tulip, tender lollipop and Persian paramilitary. In the clear waters of the mountain dwells the otter, and around with their inherent grace, deer and noble deer walk. If you want to enjoy true ecotourism, that’s the place!
Our journey through the scenery of the nature park will be accompanied by breathtaking landscapes and exciting encounters with forest occupants. We will begin our walk from the impressive rock phenomena “Halkata”, “Kumini”, “Kukli”, “Gavikata” and Kaloyanovi towers. They stand out against the backdrop of the vast field with its bizarre shapes that nature has been waving for thousands of years. We continue to the mysterious caves “Zmeevi hoops”, “Batch”, “Futul”, “Haydushka” and “Peschenik”. Some of them have found objects from the New Stone Age. Among the findings are stone axes and molds for casting bronze axes and weapons, as well as ornaments, pottery and votive tiles. At dozens of places in the park we can see the ruins of old fortresses, monasteries, holy holy water sources and ancient roads. For example, in the area of Hissarlaka is the archaeological reserve “Tuida” (Roman fortress III-Vv), and along the Manastirska River there are remnants of the monastery “St. Spas. ” According to tradition, it is one of the 24 monasteries built in the 13th-14th centuries, known as the Sliven small holy mountain.
One of the most beautiful places in the park is the Kushbunar springs and the White springs, while the waterfalls Sini Vir and Futulata will captivate you. Around them you can see countless wonderful butterflies flying over. In turn, you will also welcome the kingdom of birds – the Egyptian vulture, the rock eagle and the great hawk. Do not be surprised if a white-tailed bunny pops out of a shrub or you see a wild cat. If you are fond of extreme sports, visit Sinite Kamani Park in winter. The area offers great conditions for skiing and snowboarding. And walk through its countless hiking trails in the spring, indulge in cycling and climbing or swim in summer in its clear mountain waters. From the site of Window, you can take a look at the Kotel Mountain, the Danube Plain and the Ludogorie. From Kulata peak and Slancheva poliana you can see the whole town, and to the south you can see the outlines of Strandja and the Monastery hills.
